About Startupbootcamp

We are a global family of industry-focused programs that support tech founders to rapidly scale their companies.

We run programs across 16 cities around the world, and have both deep connections in Australia as well as access to connections abroad to help you build a truly global, actionable network.

Australia has been rapidly growing it’s FinTech industry since 2016, and it has become such an important part of the Australian Future Economy that we even have a Federal Minister who oversees it. On July 1st, 2020 the Consumer Data Rights bill (CDR) went into effect, giving Australia true Open Banking for the very first time. And unlike elsewhere in the world, much of Australia has been able to reopen after successfully tackling COVID-19. As such, we’re well placed to lead a global recovery.

The world we live in is facing some of the largest challenges in our generation. But challenge breeds opportutnity, and our partners have made it clear that they are looking for powerful new technologies and business models to help protect and empower the Financial Health and Wellbeing of organizations and consumers.

This years focus areas include:

  • Health and Wellbeing of Consumers, Customers, and Organisations
  • Regtech
  • Insurtech
  • Back Office Efficiency
  • Claims and Risk
  • Data Management
  • Disaster Relief

If you think your startup fits into one of these key areas, we’d love to have you apply for this year’s incredible program.

We can't wait to say 'G'day!'

At SBC Australia, you will find the best team who are willing to go all out to make you successful. Everything else falls in place on its own."

"The SBC team sat side-by-side in the trenches with us, providing real insight regarding who to approach and how to approach partners. The team runs a tight ship and has a network of genuinely high quality mentors - it's so meaningful to have a powerful team whose primary purpose is to support and promote you during the program and beyond."

“Pencil was a year old when we started Startupbootcamp. We were apprehensive initially; stepping away from the day to day operations to focus on the accelerator, but it was truly one step back; 5 steps forward. Since Startupbootcamp we have built integrations with leading accounting, inventory & credit brands and since March 2020 we have increased our customers by 1000% and raised capital.”

“Great programme. I can encapsulate the massive benefit to us in one word ‘Opportunity’.... it’s an immersive time full of opportunity to rethink business models, refine propositions and pitches, work with great mentors, get projects with programme partners plus be introduced to capital and funding sources. And it’s fun. Thank you Brian and Trevor and Rich and the rest of the SBC tribe”

“Being part of the 2019 cohort has benefitted InsureVite greatly. The industry partnerships that SBC have enabled insureVite to quickly scale her operations and accelerated her market entry! The mentors from SBC really helped us formulate our go to market strategies, business models, market analysis, and product, giving us valuable insights into the Australian Insurance Industry. Thank you SBC.”

“Startupbootcamp was nothing short of a roller coaster ride for us! The accelerator pushed us out of our comfort zone (as well as the building, literally!) and nudged us to think deep and re-evaluate our business fundamentals. The team is fabulous, right from finding the best place to eat, to helping us through our decks, nothing short of excellence! Highly recommend it to early stage startups.”

“SBC was a fantastic program that really moved the needle for us on getting PoCs and reference clients. It was a very busy time, but it definitely accelerated us. The mentors were very engaged and helpful - a full year later and I was in touch with three of them just today.”

About our Program

During our intense 3-month accelerator program, selected startups receive hands-on mentorship from over 100 industry experts, seed funding and access to a global and local network of investors with the ultimate goal of scaling their businesses and becoming industry-leading companies.

The program is structured around three pillars of growth: SHAPE, BUILD, and SELL. There is a high focus on business development and proof of value (POV) or proof of concept (POC) projects in the Australian market.

But each startup and their journey is different. So we tailor the program to you and your needs, helping you to create achievable goals throughout the three months.
