Fund Overview

Why invest in the Sustainable Fintech Fund

Startupbootcamp (SBC) has accelerated over 1,500 startups globally. We have the experience to select and coach early stage startups in order to de-risk the sometimes risky process of early stage startup investing.

Our goal is to build a fund that focuses on driving real sustainability in the finance industry. And we'd love for you to join us.

Investing with Impact

As more and more of us begin thinking about how we can lead more sustainable lives we often go to the same areas: eliminating food waste, reducing our emissions or offsetting our carbon footprint.

But the truth is one of the largest decisions an individual can make to enable a sustainable future lies with how their money is managed. Positive impact investments are on the rise because they’re funding sustainable projects and are generating a more substantial return.

Unique investment opportunity

Financial Technology startups, or fintechs, are booming around the world. Fintech accounts for more than 1/2 of all startup investments globally and the industry had its best investment year ever in 2021.

Sustainable Fintech, however, is just getting started with less than 8% of fintech founders globally putting themselves in that category. It won't stay like that for long however as the Boston Consulting Group estimates the market to be worth more than $30 trillion USD in a few years time. They went on to say "This shift toward sustainable finance—which has evolved beyond socially responsible investing to include asset management and ownership—has profound implications for investors and companies alike”. This is what the Sustainable Fintech Fund is looking to execute on, by being one of the world's first funds to focus exclusively on this incredible opportunity.

Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The Sustainable Fintech Fund is looking to exclusively invest in startups that are putting themselves in this category and looking to create a fairer, more equitable and sustainable future for all. The Sustainable Fintech fund will assess startups potential for impact through the Uni Nation Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Out of the 17 SDGs listed, 8 are directly connected to the financial industry (UN SDG’s 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13).
